Job description

Position Summary

Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test and Evaluation Specialist supporting fourth generation aircraft for an Air Force acquisition mission at Eglin AFB, FL. The candidate will provide test and evaluation technical and engineering support across test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, including data reduction and analysis and end-user operational testing.

This is a full-time on-site position at Eglin Air Force Base, FL.

Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide T&E technical and engineering support by documenting the review, test concept development, test methodology development, test plan development, test execution, and test reporting, data reduction and analysis, and end-user operational
  • Utilize and apply Design of Experiments methods to plan and conduct test
  • Prepare (or advise others in the preparation of) criteria, computation/analyses, specifications, cost estimates test plans, and technical reports in the specific area of technical expertise.
  • Select and apply engineering techniques and procedures to analyze and evaluate specific problem, data, or other features of the work which are broad in scope and
  • Review and evaluate the quantity, quality, and overall adequacy of results and conclusions drawn from accomplishment of test engineering tasks.
  • Develop new and innovative approaches to problems encountered, and accomplish assigned tasks with efficiency, timeliness, and thoroughness.
  • Evaluate the configuration, capability, and operational relevance of test environments and ensure they are properly available for the thorough testing of software releases (e.g. fault insertion/fault identification).
  • De-conflict schedule conflicts between multiple releases, providing high quality analysis and recommendations to the program test lead.
Qualifications

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

Minimum Required Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret

Education and experience: Associates + 15 years in Related Discipline OR Bachelor's in Related Discipline + 10 years Relevant Experience

Preferred Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret

Education and experience: Associates + 20 years in relevant experience OR Bachelor's in engineering (ABET-accredited) + 15 years relevant experience

Technical Skills

  • Test concept development and test methodology development

  • Test plan development, test execution, and test reporting

  • Data reduction and analysis

  • End-user operational testing support

  • Design of Experiments application for test planning and execution

  • Engineering techniques and procedures for complex problem/data analysis
