What does a senior sustainability manager do?

Their goal is to integrate sustainable practices into business operations to create long-term value for both the company and society.

How does a senior sustainability manager typically collaborate with other departments to drive company-wide sustainability initiatives?

A Senior Sustainability Manager frequently works cross-functionally, partnering with departments such as operations, procurement, marketing, and compliance to integrate sustainability goals into broader business strategies. This often involves leading committees, facilitating sustainability training, and aligning departmental objectives with environmental and social responsibility targets. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement are essential, as the role requires balancing diverse priorities and securing buy-in from both leadership and frontline teams. Collaboration is key to successfully implementing sustainability initiatives that have measurable impact across the organization.
