The Senior Informaticist coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Senior Informaticist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

As a Senior Informaticist, you will be responsible for supporting the attribution models.You will consult with customers to identify business needs and provide guidance and direction in development of business solutions, provide actionable information, and ensure enterprise consistency in analytics and reporting. Duties include data analysis, development of algorithms and models and Adhoc data analysis. The Senior Informaticist understands and analyzes complex data, articulates and reports out findings to various units within the company at the appropriate level.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Consult with customers to understand business needs and translate needs to technology and analytic solutions
  • Design, develop and deliver user specifications into automated solutions. Ensure quality, functionality, reliability and usability using the best technology to meet business needs
  • Perform architecture design, prototyping of concepts to proof concept, development of coding standards, development of automated testing scripts and audits, data solution debugging
  • Perform deep-dive analysis into performance in the attribution models to identify trends and outliers
  • Analytical support for the provider network and engagement teams to identify optimization opportunities
  • Leverage data to analyze and answer questions around metric variances
  • Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems as needed.
  • Ensures full and clear documentation of all projects, processes and scripts.
  • Creates customized reports and communicate the findings and recommendations with business partners and/or senior leaders

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing analytics, software and/or application development, testing, database management, and/or data warehousing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Advanced experience working with big and complex data sets within large organizations
  • Experience analyzing data to solve a wide variety of business problems and create data visualizations that drive strategic direction
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Proficiency in understanding Healthcare related data
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication to leadership and other associates within a large organization

Work-At-Home Requirements

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 mbps and an upload speed of 10 mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Medicaid Reporting
  • Advanced experience in SQL, SAS, ASA, and other data systems
  • Experience with tools such as Power BI for creating data visualizations
  • Expertise in data mining, forecasting, simulation, and/or predictive modeling
  • Experience creating analytics solutions for various healthcare sectors

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
