Job description

AAA Club Alliance is seeking a full-time Sr. Marketing Data Specialist to join our team in Wilmington, DE or Cincinnati, OH.

This role follows a hybrid schedule, with on-site presence required 3 days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).

As a Marketing Data Senior Analyst, you'll play a key role in transforming data into actionable marketing strategies that drive measurable results across multiple channels.

In the Sr. Marketing Data Specialist role you will:

  • Partner with key business stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize marketing campaigns and develop effective targeting and segmentation strategies to maximize ROI across Direct Mail, Email, Telemarketing, Text, and Web channels.

  • Design, build, and automate processes that support efficient campaign execution and strategy delivery.

  • Develop data mining architectures, models, protocols, statistical reporting, and analytics methods to uncover trends within large datasets.

  • Identify and capture customer insights to determine the audiences most likely to respond to direct marketing campaigns.

  • Perform statistical analysis and modeling to generate targeted customer lists for marketing initiatives.

  • Identify data gaps and recommend new data sources to improve marketing effectiveness and expand audience reach.

  • Collaborate with IT and marketing developers to integrate and test new data sources, ideally within a cloud-based data warehouse environment.

  • Standardize customer contact data using data management tools to improve delivery rates and campaign performance.

  • Securely manage data transfers, including encryption, compression, and file sharing with third-party providers.

  • Maintain and enhance business procedures documentation and campaign management processes.

  • Research and apply emerging data science principles and techniques to inform business decisions.

  • Recommend strategies for leveraging customer data across marketing, sales, and other business functions.

  • Design reporting frameworks that measure campaign effectiveness and operational performance.

  • Ensure campaigns are built to deliver statistically valid, measurable outcomes.

  • Build and implement trigger-based, dynamic marketing initiatives for digital channels.

  • Develop compelling campaign performance analyses and presentations to influence key stakeholders and improve marketing outcomes.

  • Provide thought leadership to enhance customer relationship marketing strategies and organizational capabilities.

  • Manage and improve campaign management functions, including data transfers, client engagement, promotional history, and documentation.

  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve efficiency and campaign performance.

  • Mentor and support junior team members in marketing strategy, data efficiency, and presentation development.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computational/Data Science, Economics, Math, or related field; equivalent experience or certifications considered. Master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience working with relational data.

  • 5+ years of direct marketing experience.

  • 5+ years of experience using statistical analysis or analytics tools.

  • 4+ years of SQL programming experience.

  • 1+ year of experience in a cloud-based data warehouse environment (Google BigQuery preferred).

  • Certifications such as SQL MCTS, Google Cloud BigQuery, or Power BI preferred.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret end-user needs.

  • Strong influencing skills across all levels of leadership, translating complex concepts into actionable insights.

  • Ability to lead campaign strategy discussions and workshops.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering insights to leadership audiences.

  • Ability to mentor team members in campaign strategy and list optimization.
