Job description

Growing company in Nashville is in need of a Senior Network Administrator to join their team. This position will report directly to the Network Manager in the IT Department.

Responsibilities for this role are as follows:

  • Implementation and maintenance of all data connectivity, network load-balancing, Internet connectivity, and network security equipment through the equipment’s entire lifecycle.
  • Expert level in troubleshooting, and maintaining all Cisco switches, routers, wireless controllers, and Webex voice services technology.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining SmartOptics WAN connectivity technology.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and maintaining all F5 LTM load balancers.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Experience with managing and utilizing SolarWinds monitoring tools and services.
  • Experience maintaining vendor service contracts on all deployed equipment, and working with Cisco SMARTNET to ensure compliance with all agreements.

 

Minimum Years of Experience/Educational Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years working in IT infrastructure with 4+ years’ experience with route/switch, firewalls, WLC’s, QoS, VoIP, and network traffic load-balance technology.
  • Experience with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) and troubleshooting related issues on a complex and highly secured network.
  • Must be able to perform after-hour and weekend work as needed in a 24x7 environment.
  • Must be able to lift equipment and rack/stack as needed.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable Skills are as follows:

  • College degree (Associates or greater) in a related field.
  • CCNA certification or higher.
  • Experience with scripting languages for network automation and management.
