Job description

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in support of the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Combatant Command, Command and Control (C2) Division (AFNWC/NCC). This is a full-time position located at Offutt AFB, NE Responsibilities * Review, prepare, and analyze a variety of documentation: Planning, requirements, design, support and test. Also to include source code, configuration files and engineering resolution support.
* Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
* Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
* Improve operations by conducting systems analysis; recommending changes in policies and procedures.
* Acquiring and licensing software by obtaining required information from vendors; recommending purchases; testing and approving products.
* Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues
* Perform Software Quality Assurance (SQA) to ensure that developed software meets and complies with defined or standardized quality specifications.
* Work as a member of an agile software development team. Performing some mix of the below tasks as directed by the government team lead or engineering lead.
* Elaborate high level feature/function descriptions into detailed technical designs and tasks, in collaboration with users and government lead engineers.
* Perform coding tasks for features/functions.
* Perform coding tasks for functional and performance tests for features/functions.
* Perform peer design and code reviews with other team members.
* Perform coding/scripting tasks for software build, packaging and deployment
* Perform other software engineering and documentation tasks as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Experience: Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibility
Certifications: Sec+ or IAM II Equivalent Education: High School Diploma
Years of Experience: Minimum of 15 years relevant experience to include: * 5 years supporting the DoD * Experience in the application of Advanced knowledge of modern IT architecture and development operations (DevOps) processes, including object-oriented development/tools to the application development process Preferred Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree
