Job description

We are looking for an E-Commerce Administrator who specializes in Shopify to manage the day-to-day backend operations of a Shopify e-commerce store, ensure product accuracy, inventory synchronization, and smooth functionality. Key responsibilities include managing product listings, updating inventory, configuring app integrations, and implementing site updates via the theme editor.


This is an on-site contract-to-hire position with our exclusive client. The ideal candidate will be local to the New Orleans area or open to relocation. Sponsorship is not available.



Fun Things You Will Do:

  • Product & Catalog Management: Maintain accurate product data, including variants, pricing, inventory levels, and collection management.
  • Manage the Shopify Store & Marketplace Manager combines day-to-day operations of a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and Wholesale (B2B) store, and our marketplace integrations (Faire, PBP) with the strategic management of a Shopify Marketplace Direct partnership.
  • Site Operations: Perform daily store maintenance, update site navigation, and manage promotional banners and discount codes.
  • App & Integration Management: Install, configure, and troubleshoot third-party apps (e.g., reviews, loyalty programs) and ensure proper integration with ERPs like NetSuite.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Monitor website performance, fix broken links, and resolve issues within the Shopify admin or checkout process.
  • Order Management: Oversee order flow and coordinate with fulfillment centers to maintain high customer service standards.
  • Analyze marketplace-specific sales data to identify opportunities for improvement in visibility and conversion.


Technical Skills:

  • Experience: Proven experience managing the backend of a Shopify or Shopify Plus store.
  • Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Shopify CMS, including metafields, collections, and Liquid code.
  • Hands-on Shopify Admin expertise with strong analytical skills to drive sales growth, manage inventory across channels, and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Experience and understanding of enterprise integration and the complexities of integrating Shopify, Salesforce, ERP, and DWH in a fast-moving business
  • Data Management: Proficiency in bulk editing tools like Matrixify for managing large inventories.
  • Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail to ensure product catalog accuracy and prevent customer-facing errors.
  • Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SEO best practices.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in E-commerce, Information Technology, Marketing, or Business.
  • Shopify Verified Skills and Badges (Shopify B2B: Launch and Customization, Shopify B2B: Foundations, Discovery and Solution Design, etc.)
  • Salesforce Developer certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II), Apex experience.
  • Experience with iPaaS middleware or cloud-based integration functions (AWS Lambda/GCP Cloud Functions).
  • Ability to effectively leverage AI coding tools
  • Familiarity with various ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation, Data Analytics, and Business Intelligence systems and tools.
