Senior Security Engineer / Hybrid / Atlanta
One of the major American airlines is looking for a Senior Security Engineer to join their Hybrid team in Atlanta, GA!
Our client is looking for a Senior Security Engineer who will serve as a key member of the enterprise cybersecurity team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting the organization's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate management ecosystem. This role will help ensure the security, availability, and scalability of cryptographic services across on-premises and cloud environments. 
Contract Duration: 12-Month Contract with the opportunity for extension or conversion
Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–7+ years of experience in PKI, cybersecurity engineering, infrastructure security, or security engineering.
  • Hands-on experience managing certificate lifecycle management in enterprise environments.
  • Experience with PKI platforms such as Venafi, DigiCert, Microsoft Certificate Services, AWS Certificate Manager (ACM), or similar technologies.
  • Strong understanding of TLS/SSL, X.509 certificates, cryptographic concepts, certificate authorities, and key management.

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities

  • PKI Infrastructure & Operations:
  • Ensure availability, resiliency, and patching of PKI infrastructure.
  • Support certificate issuance, renewal, revocation, and lifecycle management.
  • Certificate Lifecycle Management:
  • Manage large-scale certificate environments across applications and infrastructure.
  • Ensure timely renewal and replacement of certificates.
  • Support trust store management and certificate chain integrity.
  • Automation & Integration:
  • Build and implement automation for certificate lifecycle management.
  • Integrate PKI services with enterprise platforms (CI/CD pipelines, cloud services, applications).
  • Deploy and operationalize tools such as connectors and automation pipelines.
