Job description

This position may be offered to a candidate authorized to work in the US for his/her/their stated employer, without any restrictions which would prevent the candidate from working on the proposed assignment for the duration of the assignment period.
Must Haves: Must have hands on experience with SAS, SQL and Unix, Shell Scripting, DB2/Sybase, Control-M/Autosys. An ideal candidate would have a data heavy background. Preference for experience with Python, Java, DataStage & AWS.
Our Impact:
• We build and enhance software applications required for mandatory reporting of Clients mortgage loan data to Federal Housing Finance Agency.
Your Impact:
You will have significant impact on our team, and in our organization. You will primarily develop code for data centric software applications, while embracing and promoting the Agile attitude. You will help implement Regulatory Reporting product vision and communicate effectively to key partners. You will also assist with evaluation of new technologies with quick proof of concepts and support applications in production.
Responsibilities include the following.
• Develop scalable and reliable data solutions to move data across systems from multiple sources in real time as well as batch modes
• Develop innovative and automation solutions in the areas of data engineering including technology implementations using Agile construct
• Support applications, including providing fixes to production defects and making enhancements
• Quickly evaluate defects, investigate causes and come up with solutions to address defects
• Provide production support and provide clear communication on the resolution of incidents
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent working experience
• 2-4 years of experience in delivering solutions using Software Development Life Cycle
• 4 years' ETL experience using SAS, SQL and Unix, Shell Scripting, DB2/Sybase, Control-M/Autosys
• Strong data analytical skills using complex data sources including databases and text data files

Optional Skills:
o Data Engineering solution delivery using AWS (S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, Pyspark, Data lake), Python, Snowflake, Dev Ops and CI/CD tools
o Knowledge and experience working with DataStage
o Knowledge and experience working with Java
