Job description

Airswift is looking for a Safety Advisor III to work for a major O&G company in Spring, TX, for an initial 12-months assignment.
Overview

The Senior Safety Advisor provides advanced industrial hygiene and health & safety support for pipeline and field operations. This role partners closely with field teams, laboratories, and management to evaluate health hazards, review new chemicals and management of change (MOC) items, conduct exposure monitoring, and deliver technical guidance and training. The ideal candidate is a proactive, technically strong safety professional who can communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Provide industrial hygiene support for pipeline and field operations.
  • Review and assess new chemicals and management of change (MOC) requests, including field modifications.
  • Facilitate, conduct, and document industrial hygiene monitoring activities.
  • Analyze monitoring results and prepare clear, detailed technical reports.
  • Respond to field questions and provide guidance related to health and safety concerns.
  • Conduct and/or facilitate training related to gas testing and other industrial hygiene topics.
  • Support laboratory environments by evaluating exposures and recommending appropriate controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify hazards and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, physical science, or engineering discipline required.
  • Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related science/engineering field preferred.
  • American Board of Industrial Hygiene (ABIH) certification preferred.
  • Experience in the petrochemical industry preferred.
  • Experience providing industrial hygiene support in laboratory environments.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong technical writing capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, including relational databases, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Self-starter who is highly motivated and able to work independently.
