Job Summary:

The Proposal and Enablement Specialist has a crucial role in securing new and continuing business opportunities by developing, coordinating, and submitting responses to formal bid requests (RFI, RFP). The role also includes drafting responses to security assessments, developing company documentation, and supporting enablement motions at Calero.

This fast-paced role is integral to the success of an enterprise, ensuring that proposals are not only persuasive but also align with the company's strategic goals, customer requirements, and security compliance standards.

You will be a part of a tight-knit, US-based team, focused on working together to reach company goals, utilizing strong communication skills and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing and Editing: Draft, edit, and finalize high-quality, persuasive proposals that clearly communicate the value proposition.
  • Project Management: Lead RFx bid team projects as the proposal lead from assignment to submission, answering questionnaires and addressing all other submission requirements (e.g., security assessments, sales supporting collateral, vendor documentation, etc.), ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams (revenue operations, sales, marketing, IT/security, finance) across all levels of the organization, to facilitate and support the sales process, retention, core correspondence, RFx and security activities.
  • Content Delivery and Capture: Coordinate with discipline leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver smart, savvy customer-facing proposals and robust copy with flawless execution, updating existing content to ensure impactful messaging is re-purposed and updated.
  • Content Library Management: Maintain a library of previously utilized proposal and security content for future use within the RFx software platform and leverage AI-based tools as the human in the the loop to generate company-approved content from key knowledge sources.
  • Research and Analysis: Understand customer needs, pain points, personas, and business requirements to position proposed solution content tailored to the buyer.
  • Security Compliance: Respond to complex technical security questionnaires for new and existing customers, highlighting our high security standards.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience: Several years of experience in proposal/technical/creative writing, content management, product marketing, or sales enablement preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong writing and editing skills.
    • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to target content to address specific customer needs.
