Position Overview:
The Senior QA Analyst will ensure SECU systems and services meet quality standards and end user requirements with a focus on leading testing for high complexity enterprise initiatives. Working with a cross functional team of Project Managers, Business Systems Analysts, Product Owners, and Developers, the Senior QA Analysts will collaborate to understand new projects and features with responsibility of leading design, delivery and execution of test artifacts for high complexity projects. The position will serve as the quality champion on behalf of the delivery team ensuring our solutions and services achieve the highest level of quality and are aligned to enterprise standards.
Responsibilities:
  • (40%) Lead the planning and execution of the following levels of testing as identified in the test plan Functional, System, Integrated, Regression, UI, manual Service/API, Useability, Accessibility, Compatibility, and Exploratory to ensure quality and reliability of solutions for web, desktop, mobile and mainframe applications. Initiatives the user is responsible for supporting in a lead capacity will include those of high complexity and high priority to the enterprise that impact business functions and services across the organization requiring extensive test coordination.
  • (20%) Collaborate with delivery team and vendors to understand new features analyzing business and technical requirements for validity, completeness and testability as required to create corresponding test strategy, test plan and test script artifacts.
  • (10%) Establish defect management process for assigned initiatives leading identification, reporting and management of defects and inconsistencies leveraging enterprise defect tracking solutions. Communicate findings to technical, non-technical and vendor team members via defects reports and leading defect triage meetings as needed.
  • (10%) Analyze test results and produce reports on overall health of services/systems for operational readiness assessment. Review test results for others more junior analyst or those outside of QA for alignment with QA and enterprise standards.
  • (10%) Contribute to enhancement of testing process, methodologies, and tools to optimize test efficiency and effectiveness across multiple delivery teams and platforms based on domain expertise and industry best practices.
  • (10%) Mentor team members on organization products, processes, tools and testing methodologies and serve as subject matter expert in quality assurance practices within the enterprise.

Required Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in QA methodologies, process and tools including experience working with test management solutions.
  • Experience leading test planning and execution for high complexity enterprise projects.
  • Understanding of SDLC with experience working in Agile delivery team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with cross functional team.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently with high levels of autonomy.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Coaching and mentorship skills to support more junior level analysts.

Preferred Education & Experience (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Finance or Engineering
  • Basic programming skills required to contribute to test automaton workloads is preferred.
  • Experience supporting products and services in Financial Industry is preferred.
