Job description

NIKA is hiring for a Senior Project Manager to provide project management support services to the U.S. Health and Human Services Department at the Hubert H. Humphrey (HHH) building in Washington D.C.! This is an upcoming opportunity pending contract award in spring of 2025!

Position Description
  • The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating, reviewing and coordinating with POCs work plans, coordinating furniture installs, conducting quality control, and validating products being installed are correct.
  • Responsible for the planning, design review, cost estimate validation, scheduling, coordination, and execution of facility construction, maintenance, repair, and equipment installation projects.
  • The PM will be involved in preparation of project scopes of work and rough cost estimates, and provide technical review of construction contractor proposals, including project modifications.
  • The PM will be providing projects programming along with project management and design review inputs.
  • This work involves communication with project customers to validate project requirements, review of pertinent clinics/hall specific and industry standard codes and guidelines, and selection of appropriate engineering systems and solutions.

Requirements
  • Minimum seven (7) years' experience as a Project Manager in facility building operations in Federal owned buildings.
  • PMP Certification is required.
  • Shall be experienced certified and licensed in the maintenance of complex industrial facilities and in the operation of utility systems of the type used at the HHH Building.
  • Demonstrated experience writing scopes of work and preparing basic cost estimates.
  • Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
  • Experience in different size & complexity of project types
  • Familiar with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
  • must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
