Job description

Senior Project Manager – ICI Construction | Mississauga, ON

Compensation: $140,000–$170,000 + bonus & benefits

We are working with an established General Contractor in Mississauga that is looking to bring an experienced Senior Project Manager onto its construction team.

This position would suit a seasoned construction professional who has successfully led complex ICI projects and is comfortable taking ownership of project performance while providing leadership to both project teams and key stakeholders.

The Role

The Senior Project Manager will take overall responsibility for the planning and delivery of assigned projects, including financial performance, schedule, contracts, client relationships, risk management and project team leadership.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects from preconstruction and planning through construction and close-out

  • Establish project execution strategies, budgets, schedules and resource requirements

  • Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Coordinators and other project staff

  • Manage relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders

  • Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasting, commitments, change management and cost control

  • Lead contract administration and commercial discussions with clients and subcontractors

  • Identify potential schedule, cost and construction risks and develop mitigation strategies

  • Monitor critical path activities and ensure key project milestones are achieved

  • Maintain high standards for quality, safety and project documentation

  • Provide regular reporting on project performance, financial position, schedule and risk

  • Mentor and support the professional development of junior team members

The Ideal Candidate

  • 5–10+ years of construction management experience, with demonstrated experience managing major ICI projects

  • Strong General Contractor experience within the Ontario construction market

  • Proven ability to lead complex projects and multidisciplinary construction teams

  • Strong understanding of contracts, scheduling, project controls and construction financial management

  • Excellent client-facing, negotiation and communication skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capabilities

  • Strong judgment and ability to resolve complex project challenges

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline is preferred

  • Experience with Procore is considered an asset

The company provides a competitive compensation package including a base salary of approximately $140,000–$170,000, depending on experience, along with performance bonuses, RRSP matching, comprehensive benefits, professional development and opportunities for continued advancement.
