Overview
Microsoft's Monetization Strategy and Licensing team is at the heart of transforming products and services into value for customers and partners while driving growth for Microsoft. A critical part of this organization is the Operational Excellence and Transformation (OET) team that helps to measure and improve the performance of product launch delivery to our end customers, across the company's broad portfolio, including Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Power Platform, Windows, and our AI offerings such as Microsoft Copilot. This team also regularly identifies additional processes within the organization and helps to redefine/optimize these processes to create additional impact.
We are looking for a Senior Program Manager to help with process definition and improvement, project management, communication, and prioritization. In this role you will work with OET leadership, the continuous improvement and process excellence teams, and partner organizations to help design and oversee new launch processes for Microsoft's most critical customers. You will also help drive clear communication around the impact of these efforts to senior leadership and partner teams. Additionally, you will collaborate with engineering, product business planners, finance, product marketing, and senior leaders to identify, design, build, and operationalize initiatives to drive improved efficiency, quality and agility in these launch processes
Responsibilities
Drive development and oversee processes to bring products to market for our most critical customers and partners Use process analysis and optimization expertise to design high-quality processes that can be executed quickly and with efficiency while minimizing chances of errors Oversee implementation of these processes for new business opportunities in an efficient, pragmatic and compliant manner Drive the building and operationalization of improvement initiatives through pragmatic implementation planning and thoughtful stakeholder engagement Project manage workstreams to completion with predictability, transparency, and clarity Manage teams of stakeholders from different organizations towards a common goal and timeline Execute change management to land changes and drive adoption
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications:
  • Proven ability to thrive and drive clarity in ambiguous situations, with adaptability and growth mindset
  • Demonstrated ability as a project manager who can prioritize multiple activities to deliver on project scope and schedule
  • Structured thinking and problem-solving capabilities
  • Analytic skills and ability to substantiate claims with compelling evidence
  • Written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
