Job Overview:
Looking for a Senior Program Manager to support customer's Technology team (Mining domain) in the coordinated execution of priority IT and OT projects as it continues to build out the operating site and supporting facilities.
The PM will act as an extension of the customer's Technology function-aligning delivery schedules, budgets, and resources with operational readiness requirements and enterprise architecture standards.
Meeting the objective to provide hands-on delivery leadership, ensuring projects are initiated, planned, and executed in line with customer's governance, safety, and agreed budgets.
Role Responsibilities:
Activities include stakeholder coordination, vendor and contractor management, risk and issue tracking, and the preparation of project status reports and technical documentation. The service aims to accelerate project throughput, improve cross-functional collaboration, and strengthen delivery discipline within the customer's project
• Preparation and ongoing management of comprehensive project schedules
• Compilation of status reports and coordination of regular status meetings
• Monitoring and documentation of project risks, issues, actions, and potential opportunities
• Timely escalation of critical issues when necessary
• Presentation and communication of project status updates
• Budget preparation and ongoing financial tracking for assigned projects
• Effective stakeholder engagement and management
• Collection of Project Requirements Data - Initiation of new projects
• Collaboration with third-party vendors to oversee project delivery, ensuring adherence to defined scope, quality standards, budgetary constraints, and schedule commitments
• Project Plan / Project Management Plan A master document that includes timelines, resources, risk management, communication, scope, and quality plans.
• Schedule / Smartsheet Timeline showing task dependencies, durations, and milestones.
• Defining Scope of Work
• Communication Plan Defines how, when, and with whom project communication will occur.
• Risk Management Plan/ Key Decisions Identifies potential risks, impact, likelihood, and mitigation strategies.
• Status Reports Weekly or biweekly updates on progress, risks, issues, and next steps.
• Meeting Agendas & Minutes Documentation of key discussions, decisions, and action items.
• Risk Register/ Key Decisions Active monitoring of identified risks and any new risks.
• Project Closure Report / Lessons Learned Summarizes achievements, challenges, what went well, and areas to improve.
