Department Summary

UNT Health is one of the three higher education institutions within the University of North Texas (UNT) System, alongside UNT at Denton and UNT at Dallas. The UNT System offers high-quality education to residents of the North Texas region, including Fort Worth, Dallas, Denton, and Frisco, as well as students from other states. Position Overview

The Senior Program Manager position to provide research administrative support across the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC) and Public Health (PH) research administration. The role will strengthen coordination across internal and external partners, improve oversight of research-related expenditures, and support timely, compliant execution of grant-funded and institutionally supported activities at TCMHCC and PH.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and five (5) years related experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations relating to area of assignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one (1) year of experience in grant management and administration.
  • Knowledge of OMB's Uniform Guidance; and three (3) years of general administrative, operations, or program coordination experience.

Job Duties

  • Lead budget planning and development in coordination with internal and external partners.
  • Monitor and report expenditures at UNT Health and subrecipient sites in compliance with federal, state, and sponsor requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate meetings, participate in meetings, and present regulatory or program updates as needed.
  • Track and document research support activities and coordinate electronic Payroll Action Request submissions for faculty and staff.
  • Support procurement functions, including supplier management, requisitions, contracts and amendments, invoicing, travel requests and reports, and expense reimbursements for externally and internally supported research projects.
  • Contribute to an effective control environment by supporting integrity, oversight, structure, and commitment to competence.
