What to Expect

The Sr. Digital Product Owner Associate supports the execution of product initiatives by helping translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and process documentation. This role works closely with business partners, delivery teams, and senior product leaders to maintain the product backlog, clarify requirements, support Agile ceremonies including product demos to stakeholders, to help ensure solutions meet business needs and quality expectations. This role contributes to testing, release readiness, and continuous improvement efforts while developing product knowledge and supporting the delivery of customer and dealer-focused enhancements.

What You Will Do

1.     Backlog Support & Requirements Documentation

     Partner with business stakeholders and senior product team members to gather requirements and document business needs.

     Draft user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and supporting artifacts for review and refinement.

     Maintain backlog items to ensure requirements are organized, understandable, and ready for development activities.

     Support backlog prioritization by collecting input on business value, dependencies, risks, and timing.

     Help ensure requirements align with applicable business processes, controls, and quality standards

2.     Stakeholder Coordination & Agile Team Support

     Work with cross-functional teams including business, technology, operations, QA, and compliance to support delivery efforts.

     Participate in Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

     Support regular stakeholder reviews/demos, gather feedback, and incorporate insights into roadmap/backlog decisions.

     Provide timely clarification on requirements, business rules, and expected outcomes to support development and testing.

     Document stakeholder feedback, open questions, and decisions, and escalate issues as needed to senior product leadership.

     Support alignment across teams by tracking action items, dependencies, and follow-ups throughout the delivery lifecycle.

3.     Testing, Release & Continuous Improvement Support

     Support test planning and user acceptance testing by validating requirements, preparing test scenarios, and documenting results.

     Assist with release readiness activities including documentation updates, communications, training support, and issue tracking.

     Monitor production feedback, defects, and enhancement requests, and help translate findings into backlog updates.

     Track basic delivery and product performance metrics and prepare status updates for leadership and stakeholders.

     Identify opportunities to improve processes, documentation quality, and team efficiency within the product delivery lifecycle.

4.     Cross-Functional Collaboration & Delivery Coordination

     Partner with internal teams such as UX, data, architecture, security, and support to gather information and coordinate delivery needs.

     Track cross-team dependencies, risks, and issues and communicate status to the appropriate stakeholders.

     Support coordination with external vendors or partners by documenting requirements, timelines, and outstanding action items.

     Contribute to smooth execution by maintaining organized documentation and following through on assigned deliverables and product support activities.

5.     Product Performance & Insights

     Define and track KPIs and success metrics.

     Use data and user feedback to inform decisions and continuous improvement.

What You Will Bring

       Minimum 4-6 years related experience in product ownership, product management, business analysis, digital product delivery, or a related business or technology role with exposure to customer-facing, dealer-facing, and/or back-office operations.

       Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments with involvement in backlog management, requirements gathering, user story development, and cross-functional coordination.

       Experience supporting implementation, testing, release activities, or process improvement initiatives is preferred.

       Automotive or financial services industry experience is a plus.

       Experience with dealer, sales enablement, servicing, or commercial portals is a plus.

       Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

       SAFe Agile and/or Six Sigma certification a plus.

       Salesforce certifications are a plus.

       Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment, with strong initiative, accountability, and attention to detail.

       Working knowledge of Agile principles, product development lifecycle concepts, backlog management, user story writing, and acceptance criteria documentation.

       Ability to gather, analyze, and document business and user requirements clearly and accurately to support product delivery.

       Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.

       Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners.

       Ability to participate in Agile ceremonies, clarify requirements, track action items, and support delivery team alignment throughout the product lifecycle.

       Working knowledge of CRM systems, business process management, digital workflows, and process automation concepts.

       Ability to support testing and release activities, including preparing test scenarios, validating outcomes, documenting defects, and tracking follow-up items.

       Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions.

       Familiarity with customer journeys, user needs, process mapping, and data-informed decision-making is preferred.

       Understanding of system integrations, technical dependencies, and digital platform concepts is a plus.

       Ability to build productive working relationships, receive feedback, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

       Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Word; familiarity with Agile, requirements, or project tracking tools is a plus.

Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an at home and office environment.
