About the job

We are currently seeking a technically proficient and commercially driven Evaporation Systems Commercialization Manager. This highly customer-facing role serves as the commercial leader for Evaporation Systems across the U.S., partnering directly with customers and multiple sales teams to identify opportunities, shape winning solutions, and accelerate revenue growth.

In this role, you will serve as the commercial champion for Evaporation Systems across the U.S., driving portfolio growth through strategic customer engagement, opportunity development, sales enablement, and cross-functional collaboration across several teams and business units. You will partner closely with customers, regional sales teams, product & application engineers, and the global evaporation systems team to increase market share, strengthen commercial capability and competence, and accelerate revenue growth.

This is a remote role averaging 50%-60% travel across the United States.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Drive the development of the Evaporation Systems technology to maximize market share within the U.S.

  • Co-lead strategic customer opportunities alongside regional sales teams, providing commercial and technical leadership from opportunity identification through proposal development, customer presentations, negotiations, and deal closure.

  • Partner with sales teams to proactively identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities within existing and emerging markets to expand pipeline and increase opportunity conversion.

  • Analyze market insights and customer buying behavior to develop strategic sales plans; Build relationships with key customers, consultants, engineering firms, and influencers to generate demand for Evaporation Systems.

  • Participate in customer visits, discovery workshops, site assessments, and executive presentations.

  • Serve as the commercial lead for the Evaporation Systems portion of strategic customer engagements, coordinating internal resources and ensuring a consistent customer experience throughout the sales process.

  • Work with the product and applications teams to drive competence development of Alfa Laval's sales teams.

  • Coach Sales Managers and Product & Application Engineers through active customer opportunities, reinforcing best practices in consultative selling and solution positioning.

  • Develop practical sales tools, customer presentations, competitive positioning, and demonstration materials that improve sales effectiveness and increase win rates.

  • Work with the U.S. Sales Org. to develop a competitive pricing strategy to maximize profitability of evaporation systems.

  • Be a representative and voice for Evaporation Systems within Alfa Laval. Driving commercial sales strategies and programs to improve visibility and engagement of the technology.

  • Work with our global evaporation systems team to provide additional market insights and communicating the needs of local US customers.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical is preferred, Business Administration, or equivalent experience, and:

  • A minimum of 5 years of evaporation experience in engineering, technical sales, product management, or process development - preferably in Food, Beverage, Dairy, Personal Care, or Life Science industries.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.

  • Proven success in customer-facing roles such as sales, application engineering, or technical support

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with technical and executive level stakeholders.

  • Expertise in managing diverse sales channels (direct, distributor, national accounts) with a proactive approach to execution and follow-through.

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a proven track record of leveraging data for decision-making.

  • Proficiency in Excel or other data management tools for analyzing and maximizing sales data.

  • Willingness to travel 50%-60% across the United States.
