Job description

Working under the guidance of senior engineering staff, this role provides technical support throughout the engineering lifecycle, including evaluations, calculations, design development, and project execution. The successful candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to assess existing plant systems, develop engineering solutions, and contribute to projects that improve plant safety, reliability, efficiency, and performance.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer looking to further develop technical expertise while supporting critical infrastructure projects within the power generation industry.

This position can be filled in Perry, OH, Stonington, CT, or Charlotte, NC.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.

Experience

  • Minimum 4 years of engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with: 
    • Switchgear
    • Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
    • Circuit breakers
    • Power distribution equipment
  • Knowledge of: 
    • Electrical load flow calculations
    • Voltage drop calculations
    • Short-circuit analysis
  • Experience preparing complete engineering project documents within area of expertise.

Relevant knowledge may be demonstrated through a combination of academic achievement and professional experience.


Preferred Qualifications

Education

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

Experience

  • Nuclear power industry experience.
