Description The Management Services Division is seeking a Senior Print Technician. This position is to support the operation of the reprographics center by completing incoming print requests, guiding the assistant print technician and providing customer service to inquiring customers. This role will be operational in the reprographics center, which is one of the 3 sections in the Office Services Unit.

Examples of Important Duties Processes a high volume of print production requests daily with a strong focus on timeliness, efficiency and quality. Edit and convert costumers' files for print production uploaded from orders in Park & Printing Solutions Coordinate and assist customers on large print projects by providing detail information about the reprographic center's binding and print capabilities for production Provide tours of the reprographic center to all walk ins and schedule visits upon request Perform training and guidance on the operations of the reprographic center to the print technician assistant Work with courier staff to ensure customers receive their print orders Proficiently operates production and mail equipment, including, but not limited to, high-volume multi-function printers, finishing and binding equipment.
Performs first-level troubleshooting and maintenance on production and printing equipment. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance on reprographic systems and equipment. Package and log print request for Courier delivery.
Organizes print job orders and occasionally prepares copier for reproduction; adjusts and operates advanced, high-volume copiers to perform functions such as reductions, two-sided copying and collating by sets and stacks; operates a variety of minor bindery equipment such as collators, staplers, drills, folders, and performs routine maintenance of equipment such as cleaning, changing filters, refilling ink developer and toner, adding user agents, and clearing paper jams. Maintains confidentiality of data including legally-protected personal information, proprietary and pre-decisional information not subject to public information disclosure, sensitive programmatic data, and other sensitive data. Assists team leaders and managers with monitoring and maintaining inventory and procurement for printing and distribution supplies.
Performs routine and timely data entry of print production expenses for accounting and billing purposes. Maintains monthly reports describing malfunctions or recurring issues with printing &distribution equipment and provides report to team leaders and managers. Initiates service requests for all Department copier/printer pool.
Collects and submits monthly meter readings to team leaders and managers. Occasionally provides Central Desk coverage and Courier Service (As needed). Opens and closes Printing & Distribution center as needed.
Assists members with placing orders in Park & Printing Solutions and recommends appropriate duplication method. Maintains print request database within Park & Printing Solutions and keeps customers abreast on the progress and request status of their job. Provides exceptional customer service and maintain security guidelines outlined in the Reprographic Manual Minimum Qualifications Required High school graduation or GED; and One (1) year of experience in printing work; an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Good knowledge of (1) duplicating set-ups; (2) Commission activities*; (3) Commission organization*; (4) Commission policies and procedures*; (5) office priorities. Developed while on-the-job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Expert skill in operation of (1) duplicating equipment; (2) photocopiers; (3) printers; (4) collation devices. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and with Adobe Acrobat.

Working Conditions/Environment Works in duplicating and print shop with various inks and printing equipment. Moderate pressure to meet deadlines or handle multiple tasks. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
