Job description

Overview

The Production Print Analyst is responsible for providing expert technical advice, consulting to sales teams and customers in design and implementation of complex and enterprise Production Hardware, solutions, and professional services. Provide technical support in sales presentations, customer training, and the delivery of professional services as well as produce customer samples. In addition, the Production Print Analyst will oversee and manage operations of the Production Print Equipment at the Executive Experience Center in Downers Grove, IL.

 Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with the sales team on the evaluation of prospective customers, account strategy, and possible enterprise printing applications solutions; and then participates in sales calls.
  • Participates in on-site visits to customers for meetings, surveys and inspections.
  • Meets with customer IT staff as technical advisor.
  • Collaborates on RFP responses and provides on-going project management support on large, complex, diverse and challenging solution architecting and implementation.
  • Responsible for conducting customer training classes and providing installation and integration direction of advanced Color Solutions. In addition, will participate in the preparation of large, high value sales proposals; ensuring configurations are complete and accurate.
  • Interfaces with the sales team as a technical advisor during sales cycle of software workflow solutions through professional services.
  • Trains customers on all products, using Professional Services, not covered by Product Training.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and coordinate with other departments to resolve any challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning optimally.
  • Manage paper inventories to ensure stock levels meet operational needs and order supplies as necessary
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience required, plus 5 years of related experience.
  • Relevant business experience relating to printing pre-sales/post- sales support in production environments.
  • Understands and is comfortable in using the Adobe Creative Suite product, Quark Xpress and/or other standard Color composition and management tools and respective file formats (JPEG, TIFF. EPS, PDF).
  • Extensive travel may be required, up to 80% travel with overnight stays (valid drivers' license and acceptable driving record necessary). Certain minimum auto insurance coverages are required.
    Enterprise Specific: In depth knowledge of network topologies and design which includes basic implementations skill of Production Solutions Portfolio
  • Production Specific: Color management professional and EFI certification and an in depth understanding of color profiling systems, screening sets, color calibration, ICC profiles as well as an understanding of black and white production printing and the associated data streams and data conversion software products.
  • An understanding of complex systems solutions, integration and networking in Windows, UNIX, and Macintosh environments
