Role Overview
The Graphic Apparel & Print Designer will drive research and design across multiple apparel categories and special projects. This role will be instrumental in setting the seasonal graphic and artwork direction, ensuring innovation and brand alignment from concept through production.
Responsibilities
  • Drive the seasonal graphic and artwork direction through highly creative and inspiring research and concepts.
  • Partnering with Senior Design leadership on color palette and accent colors based on creative direction.
  • Researching trends in prints and graphics that are brand relevant, provide inspiration images to validate proposed print/graphic assortment.
  • Daily commination between overseas team and factories.
  • Initial fabric proposal of base fabric for recommended graphic/print proposal
  • Develop on-going fabric manipulation techniques to develop archive.
  • Finger to the pulse on branding and labeling, partnering with the design team for brand identifiers on garments.
  • Create artwork for any new labels / holiday packaging for seasonal developments.
  • Partnering with Senior Design Leadership and cross-category design leads to realize projects from kick-off through production hand-off, ensuring alignment with brand vision and design standards.
  • Create original print and artwork putting into repeats including color separations and formatting based on factory requirements.
  • Manage information flow and collaboration between cross-functional teams across various product categories.
  • Develop and maintain digital and physical presentation boards for design reviews, ensuring work is current and accurate.
  • Work proactively against development calendars to stay ahead of deadlines and key milestones.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Graphic/Print Design within the apparel industry, with a proven and relevant portfolio
  • Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and related design programs
  • Strong hand drawing and painting skills, with the ability to adapt artistic style to diverse briefs
  • Solid working knowledge of fabrics, print techniques, and product development processes
  • Strong familiarity with fashion trends, textiles, and art history
  • Highly developed taste level with exceptional color sensibility
  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, and adept at time management with strict calendar adherence
  • Portfolio work that reflects strong design sensibility, creative innovation, and relevance to the apparel market

This a hybrid role, with 4 days in our NYC office
PAY RATE: $80,000/yr-$115,000/yr
