Job description

Earthbound Brands is seeking a freelance Home Print Designer to support our Home Design team on a short-term basis. This role partners on print and pattern development across our home product lines, working closely under the Design Director.ย 


Engagement Details

  • Duration: 4 weeks, through August 20
  • Schedule: 3 days/week (Mondayโ€“Wednesday, in-office)
  • Rate: $40โ€“$60/hour, based on experience


Responsibilities

  • Develop original print and pattern concepts for home product categories
  • Create engineered designs tailored to specific product placements and dimensions
  • Build and manage repeat patterns with attention to technical limitations and production constraints
  • Index and organize files in Photoshop for handoff to production teams
  • Collaborate with the design team on revisions and iterations based on feedback


Requirements

  • 5+ years of design experience in apparel or home print/pattern design
  • Strong understanding of repeat design principles and production limitations
  • Experience with engineered designs
  • Proficiency indexing files in Photoshop
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Available to work in-office Mondayโ€“Wednesday for the duration of the contract (office in Flatiron District NYC)
