Job description

We are hiring a Merchandising Production Designer to join a top beauty company in NYC. This freelance role will run for 3 months with potential to extend and will be hybrid in their NYC office.
  • Pay Rate: $34/HR

Responsibilities:
  • Take Art Director-approved designs and translate them into pre-production artwork, adapting and resizing across all permanent merchandising formats and sizes to ensure consistency prior to mechanical house handoff
  • Simple layout & bullnose design
  • Organize and maintain assets within a shared "cloud" server environment
  • Mechanical production and file preparation for handoff to external vendors
  • ???Support retouching, color matching, and print proof review in alignment with layout requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • Deep expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat
  • A strong background in print
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong sense of visual style across design, typography, and photography
  • Accustomed to working with Art Directors to execute print artwork
  • Proven ability to manage production timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Beauty or consumer goods retail industry experience preferred
