The ideal candidate has exceptional graphic design and layout skills, a strong eye for typography and visual communication, and enjoys turning complex information into clear, easy-to-understand materials. Experience in employee benefits or health insurance is a plus, but not required—we can teach the industry. We're looking for someone with outstanding creative talent, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and produce employee communication materials including benefit guides, brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, emails, and other print and digital collateral.

  • Create visually engaging layouts using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.

  • Write, edit, proofread, and format employee communications for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

  • Create and distribute email campaigns using Mailchimp.

  • Maintain and update website content using Wix or similar website platforms.

  • Create and edit basic educational videos and multimedia content.

  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize reports, participation data, and communication metrics.

  • Collaborate with consultants and internal subject matter experts to ensure communications accurately reflect benefit programs.

  • Manage multiple projects, prioritize deadlines, and maintain organized project files.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Exceptional graphic design, layout, and typography skills.

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva.

  • Experience with Mailchimp (or similar email platforms), Wix (or similar website builders), and Microsoft Excel.

  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Portfolio demonstrating layout-driven communication materials is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in employee benefits, healthcare, HR, or another regulated industry.

  • Experience creating educational or enrollment communications.

  • Basic video editing experience.

Work Schedule

This position generally follows standard business hours; however, occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support time-sensitive communications and project deadlines. Flexible scheduling is available, allowing employees to adjust their daytime hours when work is performed outside of normal business hours.

Portfolio Requirement

Applicants must submit a portfolio showcasing brochures, guides, newsletters, presentations, or other communication-focused design work.
