About Investments Operations
The Investments Operations team supports all Investment middle office activities, including compliance, bank account management, reconciliations and reporting, performance and attribution, counterparty maintenance and trade settlement. The team works closely with Investments, Treasury, Finance, and other departments to ensure the accurate and complete representation of our Investments portfolio.
Investment Operations supports the evolving needs of the portfolio through continued focus on digitalization, automation, and process optimization. Operating in a dynamic and collaborative environment, the Investments Operations team partners with internal and external stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient an high-quality operational support.
About the Position
Reporting directly to the Senior Portfolio Administrator - Investment Operations, the Portfolio Administrator - Investment Operations will support the day-to-day operational activities of the Portfolio Administration pillar within the Investment Operations team. This role will play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely execution of investment operational activities by supporting portfolio administration, investment account maintenance, custody account administration, and trade support.
The successful candidate will develop a broad understanding of institutional investment operations while contributing to the delivery of accurate, timely and effective operational support across the investment lifecycle.
The Portfolio Administrator - Investment Operations is based in the New York office, reporting into the Senior Portfolio Administrator. They will collaborate with colleagues across Bermuda, New York and Dublin, as well as external custodians, investment managers and service providers, to support efficient and well-controlled investment operations.
Reports to: Senior Portfolio Administrator - Investment Operations
Key Stakeholders & Partners: Treasury, Investments, Capital Partners, Trade Support, Data Management; externally, custodians, brokers, third party managers, trustees, and service providers.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support coordination of the investment portfolio activities, across internal and external investment managers, custodians and internal stakeholders to support business needs, which include asset and cash transfers, onboarding and offboarding activities.
  • Process and instruct cash and security transfers, ensuring timely settlement and alignment with appropriate approvals.
  • Assist with monitoring cash balances and exceptions, escalating issues where needed.
  • Support ongoing administration of custody accounts, coordinating across custodians, trustees and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate investment operations records and documentation.
  • Assist with periodic operational reporting and management information.
  • Provide desk coverage as needed, supporting trade settlement processes after EU business hours.
  • Support broader Investment Operations initiatives and projects as required
Candidate Qualifications:
  • Minimum 4+ years' of relevant experience in Investments or Finance Operations/Banking or similar role within the financial services industry
  • Working knowledge of financial markets and investment products, with exposure to fixed income markets, and an understanding of the investment trade lifecycle, including trade settlement, cash movements and custody operations.
  • Proficient in MS office with strong Excel skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Experience and knowledge of BlackRock Solutions Aladdin or similar investment management platforms an advantage
  • Bachelor's degree expected, ideally in Finance, Business Administration, or a equivalent demonstration of markets knowledge and analytical capabilities

The full-time base salary range for this position is $95,000-$110,000 per year; base salary offered may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
