Overview


Independent pharmacy seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to coordinate workflow, support staff, and ensure efficient, accurate prescription processing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily technician workflow and prioritize urgent tasks
  • Process prescriptions and troubleshoot insurance rejections
  • Resolve patient service and prescription issues
  • Communicate with patients, physician offices, and insurance companies
  • Train and onboard technicians and clerks
  • Support vaccine services and pharmacy operations
  • Manage inventory, ordering, returns, and stock issues
  • Support non-sterile compounding as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance
  • Identify and resolve workflow or service issues

Qualifications

  • Active California Pharmacy Technician License
  • 10+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience
  • 3+ years of senior, lead, or supervisory pharmacy technician experience
  • Current immunization certification and vaccine experience (required)
  • High-volume retail pharmacy experience
  • Demonstrated staff training and onboarding experience
  • Strong insurance billing and rejection troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication with patients, physician offices, and insurance companies
  • Dependable, organized, professional, and able to work independently
  • DigitalRx experience preferred
  • Independent pharmacy experience preferred
  • Non-sterile compounding experience preferred
