Facility: Ascension Via Christi Hospitals

Speciality: Pharmacy Infusion 

Schedule: Day Shift Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm and Saturday - Sunday 9am - 5pm l  Full-time

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Lead Sterile Compounding Excellence: Execute advanced hazardous drug compounding and IV admixtures in a clean room environment, ensuring every life-saving dose meets rigorous safety and quality standards.
  • Drive Clinical Safety & Compliance: Oversee pharmacy automation technology, robotics, and controlled substance protocols to safeguard patient safety and maintain flawless regulatory integrity.
  • Optimize Care Continuity: Act as a critical liaison between physicians, nurses, and patients to coordinate smooth therapy delivery and ensure a seamless transition of care.
  • Empower Team Performance: Provide advanced cross-training and mentorship to staff in specialized areas like the operating room and retail satellites, fostering a culture of continuous professional growth.
  • Manage Therapeutic Resources: Master complex pharmaceutical calculations and inventory optimization to prevent drug shortages and ensure medication is ready exactly when the patient needs it.
What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Kansas Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) obtained prior tovhire date or job transfer date.
    • Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the National Healthcareer Association obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional requirements you'll need
  • Current Professional Credentials: Active Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy and national CPhT certification.
  • Sterile Environment Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in sterile IV compounding and hazardous drug preparation within a clean room setting.
  • Advanced Technical Literacy: Demonstrated proficiency in managing pharmacy automation, including IV workflow systems, carousels, and automated dispensing cabinets.
