Job description

This isn't your standard design role. At Boom, we aren't just building a brand; we are building the future of human connection by bringing back supersonic flight. We've already made history with XB-1, and now we are scaling that breakthrough across Overture, Symphony, and Superpower.
We need a Senior Brand Designer who is a "concept-to-execution" powerhouse-someone who can bridge the gap between high-altitude creative vision and the granular reality of physical production.
The Mission
As a senior member of our creative team, you will be the primary steward of the Boom brand. You will translate our multi-program mission into a tangible, world-class experience that lives across our manufacturing facilities, digital platforms, and every global brand touchpoint. You aren't here to just "slap a logo" on things; you are here to design the systems, the physical objects, and the visual stories of our technical progress that define a supersonic renaissance.
What You'll Do
  • Design for Impact: From high-fidelity digital assets to facility graphics and premium, non-traditional "wow" gifts, you will own the visual output of the company.
  • Establish the Standard: You will build the master templates, style guides, and design systems that allow our brand to scale without losing its soul.
  • Master the Details: You'll spend time on our shop floor and in our test facilities, working alongside engineers to turn complex technical data into accurate, beautiful, and refined visual communications of our engineering milestones.
  • Command the Craft: You'll manage elite vendor relationships, performing press checks and material tests to ensure that every physical object Boom produces meets our "Supersonic Wow" bar.

Who You Are
  • A Brand Steward: You have the backbone to protect our standards. You are the definitive authority on how the Boom brand shows up in the world, and you're comfortable navigating the tension between "fast" and "right" to ensure we never compromise on quality.
  • An Intentional Creator: You value restraint. You understand that negative space and clean typography are as powerful as a full-bleed render. You build "Elevated Design," prioritizing sophistication and hierarchy over visual clutter.
  • Technically Precise: You don't wait for a brief. You have a discerning eye for detail and a relentless curiosity. You'll dive deep into CAD drawings or mechanical specs to ensure every technical element in your design is accurate and intentional.
  • A System-Builder: You think in frameworks. You take pride in organized asset libraries and naming conventions because you know that a small, fast team requires an impeccable digital foundation to scale.

Why Boom?
  • History in the Making: You will look back and say you were there when the world went supersonic again.
  • High-Stakes, High-Reward: We move in 3-week Agile sprints. You will see your work move from your screen to the physical world faster than anywhere else.
  • The Best Work of Your Career: This is an onsite, "maker-first" role in our Denver HQ. You'll be surrounded by the world's most ambitious engineers and creators in our state-of-the-art facilities.

Are you ready to build the visual identity of supersonic flight? Let's chat.
Compensation
The Base Salary Range for this position is $138,979-$175,768 per year. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom's total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include long-term incentives/equity, a flexible PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
There is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the search is no longer active.
ITAR Requirement
To conform to U.S. Government aerospace technology export regulations (ITAR and EAR), applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
