Description:
Position Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support enterprise reporting, data analysis, reconciliation, validation, and business intelligence initiatives for the Data Modernization Program. This role will work closely with business SMEs, developers, architects, and leadership teams to ensure accurate data modeling, reporting alignment, and analytics readiness.
The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL expertise, analytical skills, reporting experience, and knowledge of enterprise data modeling and governance practices.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex data analysis, profiling, validation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Develop SQL and T-SQL queries supporting reporting, analytics, and operational analysis.
  • Create and maintain dimensional models and star schema structures for reporting workloads.
  • Support reporting alignment with Dynamics 365 and Dataverse data structures.
  • Develop source-to-target mappings and business data documentation.
  • Support enterprise data quality initiatives and validation reporting, including data quality (DQ) standards definition and enforcement.
  • Establish and operationalize MDM framework (Person/Agency/Vehicle/Member) to ensure consistent enterprise data domains and master data consistency.
  • Design and implement Microsoft Purview governance framework, including cataloging, lineage, classification, and metadata governance.
  • Support compliance and regulatory mapping to ensure alignment with applicable data governance, audit, and security requirements.
  • Author and maintain Error Triage Protocols, defining structured processes for data issue identification, escalation, resolution, and tracking.
  • Collaborate with SMEs across Risk Management, Benefits, Fiscal, HR, and IT divisions.
  • Support Power BI and Tableau-style reporting initiatives.
  • Assist with migration validation, reconciliation testing, and data accuracy verification.
  • Maintain metadata documentation and reporting standards.
  • Partner with technical and business teams to identify reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Participate in governance, audit, and operational readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles.
  • Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills.
  • Experience creating dimensional models and analytical data structures.
  • Experience with data profiling, reconciliation, and validation.
  • Familiarity with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform integrations.
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and business stakeholders.
Preffered Qualifications
  • Experience working within government or public sector environments.
  • Experience supporting cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Azure data ecosystems.
