Materials Manager -O'Hara, PA JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY Focuses on overseeing the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials within the supply chain. This position involves managing supplier relationships, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring that materials are available when needed. Collaborates with production and logistics teams to maintain efficient workflows and minimize costs.

Our O'Hara, PA location operates Monday to Thursday from 5:30 am to 3:50pm. We also offer a breadth of benefits, included (but not limited to) 120 hours of vacation, 128 hours of holiday time, 40 hours sick time, full medical/dental/vision, educational assistance, annual bonus and MORE. No Sponsorship or relocation available for this position.

PURPOSE A Materials Manager at Bayer's O'Hara site plays a critical role in ensuring materials are available to support manufacturing operations safely, efficiently, and on time. This role is responsible for overseeing material planning, material purchasing, inventory management, supplier coordination, and daily issue resolution to minimize supply disruptions and support production schedules. Working cross-functionally with procurement, production planning, warehouse, quality, and manufacturing teams, the Materials Manager helps balance customer service, inventory health, and operational continuity.

A typical day includes reviewing material availability, monitoring shortages and aging inventory, expediting critical components, aligning priorities across functions, and driving actions to address supply risks. This role also supports continuous improvement efforts, strengthens planning discipline, and helps ensure the site can meet business and customer needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identifies projects and initiatives to increase efficiencies and drives resolution of detailed plans for assigned planning area of responsibility, necessary to achieve customer delivery commitments and to maintain inventory targets, where applicable; Develop alternative solutions for the analysis of supply shortfalls impacting internal and/or external customer requirements and ensure root cause identification, corrective action determination and implementation; Handles complex procurement problems independently, utilizing financial, operational and business judgment and the ability to adapt to ambiguous conditions; Responsible for and maintains SAP planning parameters for assigned area of responsibility; Utilizes delegation to expand scope of influence.

WHO YOU ARE Bayer seeks an incumbent who processes the following: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred. In lieu of a bachelor's degree, a minimum of 7 years of relevant supply chain, procurement, planning, or related professional experience will be considered. Significant experience in a Product Supply discipline; Excellent presentation, training, and interpersonal skills; Ability to influence other members of the organization to help achieve goals and increase performance; Ability to build relationships and partnerships within the organization; Ability to manage projects of high complexity with no or limited direction; Demonstrated problem solving abilities; Strong attention to detail; Proficient with Microsoft Office tools; Proficient in SAP in various modules (MM/PP/WM).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 5+ years of total experience, including minimum of 3 years' experience in a Product Supply discipline. Employees can expect to be paid salary between $86,320.00 and $129,480.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant)
