The company is a global pioneer of AESA tactical radars for active military protection, counter-drone applications, critical infrastructure protection, and border surveillance.
Job Summary
DRS RADA Technologies located in Germantonw, MD, is hiring a Senior Material Handler for 2nd shift. The Senior Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and tracking of materials within the facility. This role involves loading/unloading, inventory support, data entry in ERP systems, and ensuring timely shipping and receiving. The position also supports process improvements, maintains accurate records, and assists in daily operations under general supervision.
Job Responsibilities
  • Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite.
  • Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to more effectively meet goals
  • Maintain system critical data elements
  • May monitor shipping performance to Delivery Tracking Schedule (DTS) and ensure movement of product from production through packaging to shipping
  • Perform materials analysis and maintains records as required in support of cycle counting operations and performance measurement
  • Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
  • Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand
  • Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools
  • Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, Forklift, or other device
  • Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system
  • Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information
  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
  • Work under general supervision on duties and tasks that reflect substantial variety and complexity

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two or more years experience
  • May require forklift certification

The expected pay scale for this position is $40,537.00/year - 50,671.00 /year. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
