Job description

The Manufacturing Finance Manager is a key member of the Nissin Foods Finance organization and serves as the primary finance business partner to Manufacturing Operations across Nissin Foods' U.S. manufacturing network, including facilities in Gardena, CA; Lancaster, PA; and Greenville, SC. This role provides financial leadership and analytical support to manufacturing operations while partnering closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Corporate Accounting, and Commercial Finance to drive operational performance and financial results.


Financial Planning & Analysis

· Lead the annual manufacturing budget, monthly forecasts, and long-range financial planning processes for Nissin Foods' manufacturing operations.

· Develop and maintain financial models that reflect changes in production volume, labor, commodity costs, manufacturing efficiencies, and operational performance.

· Analyze manufacturing financial performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability, productivity, and cost efficiency.

· Identify financial risks and opportunities and communicate recommendations to Finance and Operations leadership.

Manufacturing Financial Management

· Support manufacturing P&L performance through cost management, variance analysis, inventory performance, and operational reporting.

· Partner with Plant Managers and Operations leadership across Nissin Foods manufacturing facilities to improve manufacturing efficiencies, working capital, and operating performance.

· Analyze labor, material, overhead, and inventory variances, providing actionable recommendations to improve financial results.

· Prepare and present financial performance reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational scorecards.

Monthly Close & Financial Reporting

· Manage the monthly financial close process for Nissin Foods manufacturing operations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of manufacturing costs, inventory balances, accruals, and operational results.

· Review manufacturing financial results, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.

· Coordinate with Corporate Accounting to resolve close-related issues and ensure timely financial reporting.

Balance Sheet & Accounting Oversight

· Collaborate with Corporate Accounting to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Nissin Foods accounting policies, and internal control requirements.

· Support inventory valuation, standard costing, physical inventory processes, and fixed asset accounting.

· Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to audit requests.

Business Partnership & Operational Support

· Serve as the primary finance partner to Manufacturing leadership by providing financial guidance and operational support.

· Provide financial leadership across Nissin Foods' manufacturing facilities in Gardena, CA; Lancaster, PA; and Greenville, SC, ensuring consistent financial reporting, planning, analysis, and governance across all locations.

· Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Procurement, Sales, and Operations to align financial performance with Nissin Foods' business objectives.

· Provide financial analysis to support capital investments, productivity initiatives, cost reduction programs, and continuous improvement efforts.

· Support resource planning and operational decision-making through timely, data-driven financial analysis.

Financial Controls & Compliance

· Maintain effective financial controls and governance processes across manufacturing operations.

· Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and audit requirements.

· Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiencies.

Key Areas of Responsibility

· Monthly Close & Financial Reporting: Manage the manufacturing monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

· Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models that support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.

· Performance Management & Resource Planning: Provide financial analysis and recommendations that support operational performance, capital investments, and resource allocation across manufacturing operations.


• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
 • 5+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, plant finance, or operations-focused FP&A
 • Demonstrated experience managing manufacturing P&Ls and driving cost performance
 • Strong background in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting within a manufacturing environment
 • Proven ability to present and communicate financial insights to senior and executive leadership
 • Experience partnering directly with operational and plant leadership
 • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems; ERP experience required
 • Strong communication and influence skills with the ability to translate financial analysis into strategic guidance
 • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving manufacturing environment
