Job Title: Partnership Taxation Senior Manager (Operating)
Location: Houston, TX 77002
Work Model: Hybrid (In-office 3 days per week)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Partnership Tax Senior Manager to lead complex partnership tax engagements, provide strategic tax consulting services, and oversee high-performing client service teams. This leadership role requires deep expertise in Sub-chapter K partnership taxation and the ability to manage multiple engagements while delivering exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate brings strong technical tax knowledge, leadership capability, and business development experience within a top-tier public accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead primary and secondary reviews of complex partnership tax returns
  • Evaluate tax implications of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704(b) capital accounts
  • Oversee client engagements including planning, execution, and completion of tax projects
  • Provide innovative tax planning and consulting solutions
  • Research and consult on partnership taxation matters (Sub-chapter K)
  • Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries
  • Maintain active client communication and manage expectations
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop tax professionals
  • Participate in business development initiatives and proposal efforts
  • Manage budgets and multiple concurrent engagements
  • Travel as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license (Required)
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting experience
  • Background in a Top 10 public accounting firm (Required)
  • Strong experience in partnership taxation and Sub-chapter K
  • Experience reviewing partnership, joint venture, and non-corporate entity tax returns
  • Proficiency in US GAAP and tax accounting standards
  • Ability to work hybrid schedule (3 days onsite per week)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions
