The Role

Lumen is seeking a strategic Alliance Manager to lead and grow its Microsoft relationship. This role connects alliance strategy, cloud marketplaces, cybersecurity, and go-to-market execution in support of Lumen's vision to be the trusted network for AI.The successful candidate will develop joint business plans, build executive relationships, drive revenue growth, and expand Lumen's presence across strategic partner ecosystems.As the primary Microsoft relationship owner, this leader will align partner priorities with Lumen's growth strategy, advance co-sell and marketplace motions, and mobilize cross-functional teams to bring joint solutions to market. This position is part of the Strategic Alliances & Marketplace organization within Lumen's Connected Ecosystem team and serves as the executive-facing liaison to Microsoft.

Location

Preferred candidates reside in California or Washington to support partner engagement and team collaboration.

What We Look For in a Candidate
  • Fifteen plus years in strategic alliances, partner management, cloud partnerships, ecosystem development, business development, or related roles.
  • Experience managing hyperscaler or enterprise technology partner relationships, preferably within the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Proven success building joint business plans that drive measurable pipeline, bookings, revenue, or marketplace outcomes.
  • Experience launching or managing transactable offers in cloud marketplaces.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot, cowork agents, or agent-based solutions.
  • Familiarity with private offers, cloud consumption programs, partner incentives, and joint-solution development.
  • Knowledge of networking, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, telecommunications, cybersecurity, AI transformation, or agentic commerce.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
