Job description

ProLog, Inc. is seeking a Senior Logistics Analyst to support the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) Logistics Center (ALC) Supply Chain Management Directorate (SCMD) at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. The Senior Logistics Analyst will lead logistics analysis and supply chain process optimization supporting Army aviation and missile supply operations. The position will analyze supply chain performance, identify process improvements, develop recommendations for Government decision-makers, and provide technical direction to supporting analysts. The Government staffing estimate assigns one full-time Senior Logistics Analyst to Redstone Arsenal.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead logistics analysis and supply chain process optimization activities across AMCOM SCMD directorates.
  • Analyze Army supply chain performance and identify opportunities to improve supply availability, responsiveness, inventory performance, and operating efficiency.
  • Analyze inventory levels, stock positions, turnover rates, demand patterns, requirements, and overall supply performance.
  • Support forecasting, demand planning, requirements determination, and supply planning for aviation and missile weapon systems.
  • Analyze transportation processes, shipment activity, modes, freight costs, and distribution logistics performance.
  • Evaluate warehouse operations, storage utilization, picking, packing, order fulfillment, and related supply execution processes.
  • Analyze order accuracy, lead times, fill rates, customer wait time (CWT), and other key supply chain performance measures.
  • Monitor supply, demand, receipt, issue, and inventory activity to identify negative trends affecting mission readiness.
  • Conduct Line-of-Balance (LOB) reviews and complex supply chain analyses supporting materiel management decisions.
  • Analyze Army supply operations and recommend process enhancements to Government managers and program offices.
  • Support Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) and Single Stock Fund (SSF) supply and financial operations.
  • Apply Army supply regulations, policies, and directives to logistics analysis, modeling, and executive recommendations.
  • Use the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and other Army logistics systems to extract, manipulate, and analyze supply chain data.
  • Support analytical studies involving requisitions, Materiel Release Orders (MROs), inventory, receipts, issues, transportation, property, and materiel movement.
  • Develop comprehensive logistics reports, briefings, recommendations, trend analysis reports (CDRL A009), and executive summaries.
  • Translate complex logistics data and technical findings into actionable information that supports operational leadership decisions.
  • Support internal quality monitoring and performance tracking against contract Acceptable Quality Levels (AQLs).
  • Provide technical guidance, task oversight, and subject matter mentorship to junior logistics analysts.
  • Coordinate with AMCOM, ALC, SCMD, Army Materiel Command (AMC) organizations, program executive offices (PEOs), DLA, depots, OEMs, and fleet managers.
  • Participate in integrated product teams (IPTs), technical reviews, working groups, and continuous supply chain improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 7 or more years of Army logistics experience.
  • 3 or more years of hands-on experience utilizing the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP).
  • Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply planning.
  • Solid understanding of transportation optimization, warehousing, and distribution logistics.
  • In-depth knowledge of Army supply regulations (AR 710-2, AR 725-50, AR 735-5, AR 750-1).
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze supply chain operations and communicate findings to senior leadership.
  • Ability to provide technical direction and leadership to supporting junior analysts.
  • Must possess or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance eligibility.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience supporting AMCOM, Army Materiel Command (AMC), or Army aviation/missile logistics programs.
  • Working knowledge of Army Working Capital Fund (AWCF) or Single Stock Fund (SSF) financial/logistics interactions.
  • Proficiency across LMP, GCSS-Army, STAMIS, and related DoD logistics databases.
  • Specialized experience in Class IX repair parts, depot-level maintenance, or wholesale supply support.
  • Experience with logistics KPIs, root-cause analysis, management reporting, and senior-leader briefings.
