Logistics Manager

Mollertech USA, LLC, a privately owned German company in business for over 280 years specializing in plastics technology for the automotive industry is seeking a Logistics Manager for our state of the art facility in Woodstock, Alabama.

The Logistics Manager is responsible for the effective management, delivery, maintenance of all cost down continuous improvement activities within the Supply Chain. This job is physically located at 208 Scott G Davis Pkwy, Woodstock, AL

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Development of a culture, environment where first class customer delivery is recognized and actively attained and developed by everyone.

• Manage maintenance and monitoring of the KPI’s of all Logistical functions to develop and improve upon these where applicable.

• Work with other managers to attain the realization of TS 16949.

• Actively co-operate with the customer for the harmonization, deployment and delivery of the required delivery standards.

• Develop, initiate and maintain objective measurement tools for all logistical activities.

• Establish and maintain all logistical/supply chain documentation

• Work actively to meet the customer expectations of the supply chain and improve the functionality of this where possible.

• Guarantee of functional ability of all logistical functions on a continuous and evolving basis.

• The development, installation and promotion of all appropriate continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma within the Logistics Departments and elsewhere as appropriate.

• Pro- active and positive communication and engagement with all customers both internal (with facility and group) and external customers.

• Attainment and monitoring of all activity plans/targets agreements.

• Work continuously to reduce costs within the supply chain and report effectively on all cost improvement /deficiencies and any corrective actions to all required parties.

Skills & Qualifications

• Authority to instruct Supply Chain /Production planning and Management with the plant.

• Highly team orientated and able to effectively lead and develop multi-skilled staff and systems as required to attain all customer/quality targets and standards.

• Able to improve and recognise the input of Planning/Logistical staff and develop the Quality/Customer delivery systems accordingly.

• Strong analysis communication and reporting skills to disseminate information appropriately to the relevant parties.

• Able to develop and agree Supply Chain/ Production requirements with customers and suppliers.

• Act as principal contact with regard to all Supply Chain/Logistical issues for all internal and external customers.

• Possessing high levels of intrinsic motivation to drive success both individually and organizationally.

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management, preferred

• 5-7 years of experience within a highly demanding Supply Chain cycle of which ideally two would have been at a middle to senior level.

• Possessing well developed people management skills or an ability or aptitude to quickly assimilate/develop these skills.

• A proven track record in the delivery of highly demanding customer targets within a volume manufacturing (automotive) environment.

• Proven experience within and highly customer orientated with well-developed client relationship/management skills.
