Position Summary
Senior Linux Engineer
The Engineer is responsible for building a platform to support the full stack including application integration, performance management, security implementation, configuration management, and problem management against an array of services and function at a platform and host level.
Required Skills:
1. 7+ years of experience with multiple largescale enterprise cluster environment builds and operations including design, capacity planning, cluster set up, security, performance tuning and monitoring.
2. Experience with three tier architectural web applications
3. In-depth working knowledge of RedHat Linux systems
4. Proficient with networking, firewall, kernel parameter tuning, security concepts
5. Strong knowledge and experience with shell scripting
6. Design, develop, and implement Ansible playbooks and roles to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and application deployments
7. Perform extensive troubleshooting and technical support for both hardware and software issues that may arise.
8. Knowledge of TLS certificates, different certificate container formats, as well as understanding of the entire certificate chain.
9. Experience with configuration, usage, troubleshooting of Load Balancers (F5/AVI/vmWare/etc).
10. Experience with VMWare concepts of creating and managing VMs
11. Must have experience working on large, complex projects with cross-functional teams.
12. Understanding of Agile software development methodologies
Desired Skills:
1. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift a plus
3. Enterprise Database Administration such as MySQL, Oracle, Maria DB, Microsoft SQL Server
4. Experience with Hadoop distributions in the Cloud is a plus, AWS, Azure, Google.
5. Experience with Apache Tomcat
6. Experience with Terraform a plus.
