Als Senior Linux / Platform Engineer ben je verantwoordelijk voor het ontwerp, de uitbouw en het technisch ownership van onze Linux- en platformomgeving binnen een grootschalige enterprisecontext. Je speelt een sleutelrol binnen een strategisch platforminitiatief, waarbij je nieuwe technologieën, containerplatformen, security hardening en DevSecOps‑principes mee vormgeeft.

Dit is geen klassieke operationele beheerfunctie, maar een rol die architectuur, hands‑on engineering, automatisatie en technische adviesverlening combineert.

Functie:
  • Je neemt het technisch ownership op van onze Linux- en platformcomponenten.
  • Je bepaalt en bewaakt de technische standaarden voor Linux, containerplatformen en ondersteunende tooling.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met security, applicatieteams en partners rond platformdesign en architectuurkeuzes.
  • Je leidt hands‑on implementaties van containerplatformen, DevSecOps‑tooling en automation‑oplossingen.
  • Je ontwikkelt en onderhoudt automatisaties (o.a. Ansible, CI/CD-integraties) en hardeningstandaarden voor RHEL en Ubuntu.
  • Je voert proof‑of‑concepts uit en begeleidt pilootprojecten voor nieuwe technologieën.
  • Je onderhoudt platformtooling zoals GitLab, Ansible Automation Platform en Red Hat Satellite.
  • Je ontwikkelt RHEL‑upgradeprocedures en best practices.
  • Je bewaakt documentatie, consistentie en kwaliteitsstandaarden voor alle platformactiviteiten.
  • Je treedt op als subject matter expert voor platform- en securitygerelateerde topics.
  • Je ondersteunt interne teams met technisch advies, referentie-architecturen en richtlijnen.
  • Je werkt nauw samen met externe partners en zorgt voor afstemming met interne standaarden.
  • Je biedt 2e‑lijns ondersteuning bij incidenten.
Profiel: Opleiding:
  • Bachelor diploma of gelijkwaardig door ervaring.
Ervaring:
  • Minstens 5 jaar bewezen ervaring met enterprise Linux‑omgevingen (RHEL; Ubuntu is een sterke plus).
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met automatisatie (Ansible of gelijkaardig).
  • Goede kennis van Linux security en hardening practices.
  • Ervaring met containertechnologieën zoals Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker of Podman.
  • Kennis en ervaring met CI/CD en DevSecOps‑principes.
  • Ervaring met Red Hat Satellite en Ansible Automation Platform.
  • Vermogen om zowel architecturaal te werken als hands‑on te engineeren.
