Senior Landscape Estimator

Location: Sylmar, CA (On-site)
Compensation: $100,000-$125,000 + Comprehensive Benefits

Join a Leading Commercial Landscape Construction Company

A well-established and highly respected commercial landscape construction contractor in Southern California is seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Estimator to join its growing team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-profile commercial and public-sector landscape projects while working alongside an experienced operations and project management team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates that drive profitable project awards and contribute directly to the company's continued success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze civil, architectural, landscape, and irrigation plans and specifications.

  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

  • Develop conceptual, schematic, design development (DD), and construction document (CD) estimates.

  • Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.

  • Review project specifications, bid documents, RFIs, and addenda.

  • Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.

  • Lead bid preparation and RFP responses from start to finish.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project execution.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and general contractors.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of commercial landscape construction estimating experience (senior-level experience preferred).

  • Experience estimating commercial, multifamily, municipal, education, healthcare, hospitality, mixed-use, or public works landscape projects.

  • Strong understanding of landscape construction methods, irrigation systems, hardscape, concrete, planting, grading, and site development.

  • Ability to interpret civil, landscape, and irrigation drawings and specifications.

  • Experience with quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and cost analysis.

  • Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), STACK, or similar platforms.

  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
