Job description

Title: Systems Engineer I
Location: Alexandria, VA or Colorado Springs, CO
Clearance: TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
Job Duties:
  • Analyze user requirements, CONOPS, and system architectures to develop requirements and support system design, development, integration, and implementation across the lifecycle
  • Contribute to system architecture, engineering documentation, and planning (e.g., SEMP, integration and test plans), including feasibility studies and trade analyses
  • Support system integration, testing, interface definition, and end-to-end performance analysis, including identification and resolution of hardware/software issues
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, program teams, and senior engineers to address technical challenges and ensure quality, accuracy, and integrity of deliverables
  • Support system lifecycle optimization and continuous improvement, including evaluation and integration of emerging technologies
  • Perform day-to-day system administration and operations, including:
    • Certificate management and secure communications
    • Virtualization support and environment maintenance
    • Application installation and configuration
    • TCP/IP, ports, protocols, and firewall management
    • Operating system administration and system troubleshooting

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in a technical discipline; an additional 4 years of may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum two (2) years of directly related technical experience
  • Experience with:
    • Systems engineering lifecycle processes (requirements, design, integration, testing)
    • System administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, ports, protocols, firewalls)
    • Developing system documentation and engineering artifacts
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with virtualized environments and enterprise systems and exposure to complex, high-reliability systems or secure environments preferred
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and Microsoft Certified Professional (or equivalent)
  • Current active TS/SCI clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph
