Job description

Job Overview:
Sr Inventory Control Specialist- Northlake, IL
The Sr Inventory Control Specialist is accountable for recording and tracking inventories of materials, supplies, and finished product. Main point of contact for finished goods purchasing and order tracking. Coordinates relationships with plants to facilitate elimination out of stocks and overstocks. Communicate to Demand Planning, any service issues related to stock availability, and coordinate resolution, involving central planning.
Shift and Schedule
  • Sunday-Thursday
  • 4:00am-12:30pm or until finished
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed

Position Responsibilities
  • Conduct a physical inventory of full goods, keying in inventories into spreadsheets and sap. Use of RF scanner, hand count.
  • Perform an age inventory of product in the warehouse to ensure proper production rotation.
  • Ensure proper administration of all cycle counts procedures and processes; research outstanding issues related to Inventory reconciliation; reconcile any Inventory discrepancies and handle any follow up questions.
  • Create STO's for transfers to other locations
  • Handle period ending Inventory accounting duties to resolve issues related to Warehouse Operations.
  • Prepare and maintain and distribute reports related to Inventory.
  • Ensure sox compliance following the sox checklists related to Inventory.
  • May also need to support warehouse operations.
  • Report daily to Warehouse Operations Supervisor
  • Walk warehouse daily to check for missing signage and assign slotting
  • Work with Sales Ops team to review slotting for maximum efficiencies
  • Date code reporting monthly
  • Manage damage and returned product
  • POS management in both soft and glides and racks keeping areas clean and organized
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED)
  • 3 year experience with dispatching / routing in a logistics / supply management environment
  • 3 years' experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • 2 year experience with Roadnet Transportation Suite or similar routing software
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as needed
