PROCESS TECHNICIAN
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Shift: Multiple shifts
- Pay Range: $22 - $30 DOE
Background & Experience
Required
- High school diploma or technical/vocational education
- At least three years of experience supporting manufacturing processes, preferably in molding operations
- Strong understanding of injection molding processes, tooling, and cavity pressure monitoring systems
- Working knowledge of scientific molding principles and formal validation methodologies (IQ/OQ/PQ)
Preferred
- Experience with manufacturing ERP or MES systems
- Prior work in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485)
- Exposure to both injection molding and extrusion processes
Key Areas of Responsibility
Equipment Support
- Perform machine startups, changeovers, and parameter verification for injection molding operations
- Monitor molding processes to ensure consistent output and compliance with quality standards
- Diagnose and resolve equipment or part quality issues using structured troubleshooting and scientific molding techniques
Quality & Documentation
- Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and timely
- Inspect molded parts to verify conformance to specifications
- Communicate tooling, equipment, or process concerns to maintenance, engineering, or quality teams
Collaboration & Improvement
- Support process validation and improvement efforts, including DOE activities, CAPAs, and master process documentation
- Provide technical input on tooling performance, mold benchmarking, and process capability improvements
- Assist team members during breaks, absences, or priority production situations to maintain steady operations
Safety & Compliance
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
- Follow all applicable safety, GMP, and PPE requirements
- Support a safe and reliable second-shift manufacturing operation
