Role Accountabilities:

As the Senior Project Manager, you will provide leadership to the drainage team while overseeing the successful delivery of drainage and stormwater management projects across the infrastructure sector. You will help foster a collaborative, high-performing environment, guide project planning and execution from concept through completion, and work closely with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality, efficiency, and timely delivery.

In this role, you will serve as the technical lead for drainage engineering, bringing expertise in drainage design, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, stormwater management, and erosion control. You will lead the development of practical, high-quality engineering solutions, support field reviews and assessments, and oversee the preparation of technical reports, drawings, and specifications. You will also ensure that all work is delivered in accordance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards.

You will also play a key role in strengthening client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the practice. Additionally, you will support the growth and development of the discipline by mentoring team members, helping build a diverse and capable team, and encouraging continuous learning and innovation. Working with other departments, you will help ensure drainage solutions are effectively integrated into broader project outcomes while advancing the overall strength and capability of the practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with P.Eng. designation, or eligibility for registration, in Alberta or British Columbia.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience  in drainage design and stormwater management for infrastructure projects
  • Proven track record in project management, team leadership, and mentoring
  • In-depth knowledge and in depth experience in application of  drainage design standards, stormwater management practices, and relevant regulations
  • Proficiency in hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM), CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D), and GIS applications
  • Experience preparing and reviewing preliminary and detailed utility design drawings, reports, and technical memos
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and third-party utility stakeholders, with experience supporting business development and proposal preparation
