Our utility clients are looking for bold solutions in the era of rapidly changing technology, policy and workforce innovations. We are looking for an experienced Maximo Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Consultant with a strong background in GIS integration to join our growing Utilities practice. In this role you will work directly with electric and gas utility clients to design, configure, and implement IBM Maximo solutions that modernize asset and work management operations - with a particular focus on geospatial data integration and field mobility.

You will be expected to lead workshops, drive future-state process design, manage client stakeholder relationships, and deliver high-quality solutions that align with utility operational standards and regulatory requirements. This is a client-facing role that combines deep functional Maximo expertise with hands-on GIS integration experience and a genuine understanding of how utilities manage their transmission, distribution, and field operations.

What You Will Do

  • Lead end-to-end Maximo EAM implementations for utility clients across the full project lifecycle - from requirements gathering and solution design through configuration, testing, cutover, and go-live support
  • Design and configure Maximo asset and work management solutions covering functional locations, equipment hierarchies, work orders, preventive maintenance, inspection plans, and material management
  • Lead fit-gap analysis and fit-to-standard workshops to define future-state business processes aligned to utility operational requirements across transmission, distribution, and generation asset classes
  • Design and deliver GIS integrations between Maximo and Esri ArcGIS (or equivalent platforms), including bidirectional synchronization of asset location data, functional location structures, and work order geospatial data
  • Develop integration architecture documentation including interface design specifications, data mapping, and end-to-end flow diagrams
  • Configure and deploy Maximo mobile solutions (Maximo Anywhere, Maximo Mobile, or Click FSE) for field workforce execution and scheduling
  • Lead data migration activities including data profiling, conversion mapping, mock conversion cycles, and production cutover for asset master data, work history, and geospatial records
  • Produce high-quality deliverables including solution blueprints, functional design documents, RICEFW inventories, test scripts, training materials, and cutover runbooks
  • Support and mentor junior team members on functional configuration and utility business processes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing day-to-day stakeholder engagement with IT, operations, and asset management teams

Required Qualification

  • 5+ years of hands-on Maximo EAM implementation experience in an external consulting or systems integrator capacity
  • Demonstrated experience with GIS integration - specifically Esri ArcGIS integration with Maximo, including asset data synchronization, spatial data management, and map-based work management
  • Utility industry experience - electric transmission and distribution, gas distribution, or water/wastewater
  • Strong functional knowledge of Maximo core modules: Assets, Work Orders, Preventive Maintenance, Job Plans, Locations, Inventory/Materials Management, and Purchasing
  • Experience leading client-facing workshops and requirements gathering sessions
  • Ability to produce structured, client-ready documentation independently
  • A bachelor's degree or college diploma in business administration, commerce or a related discipline
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical business stakeholders

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with Maximo mobile deployment - Maximo Anywhere, Maximo Mobile (MAS) scheduling and mobility
  • Familiarity with IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) and cloud deployment patterns
  • Experience with compatible unit design and construction work management for utility distribution or transmission
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to utility asset management - NERC CIP, Measurement Canada, or equivalent
  • Experience with data migration from legacy asset management or GIS systems
  • IBM Maximo certification or Esri ArcGIS certification is an asset
