Kilgore Industries is seeking a highly motivated Senior HVAC Project Manager to lead the successful execution of large-scale commercial mechanical construction projects throughout Central Texas. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery—from preconstruction through closeout—while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, schedule performance, and profitability.
The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong client relationships, develops team members, and consistently delivers exceptional results.
Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial HVAC and mechanical construction projects valued at $10M+.
  • Lead project planning, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities.
  • Drive financial performance through accurate cost management, forecasting, billing, and change order execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
  • Partner with field leadership to ensure safe, productive, and efficient project execution.
  • Conduct routine project reviews to monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure project success.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, company procedures, and quality control standards.
  • Lead communication efforts with stakeholders while proactively resolving project challenges.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC/mechanical construction experience.
  • Minimum 3 years managing large-scale commercial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, scheduling, procurement, estimating, and project accounting.
  • Proven experience managing healthcare, mission-critical, industrial, higher education, and large commercial projects.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Build, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
