Traveling HVAC Install Foreman (Commercial)

Location: West Monroe, LA, includes weekly travel.

Type: Full-time permanent employment

Pay: Union position paying up to $31 an hour + Excellent Benefits Package and Per Diem.

This is a traveling union position with weekly travel from Monday through Thursday/Friday. Company-paid per diem is provided.

Position Overview:

Mechanical Systems & Services is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Install Foreman to lead installation crews on commercial HVAC projects throughout the South. This position requires a hands-on leader who can oversee field operations, maintain project schedules, ensure quality workmanship, and uphold safety standards while traveling extensively throughout our service region.

Projects are located throughout:

  • Louisiana
  • Mississippi
  • Alabama
  • Arkansas
  • Eastern Texas

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise commercial HVAC installation crews on projects ranging from rooftop units to large-scale mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate daily activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot commercial HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and related systems.
  • Conduct jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.
  • Manage manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities in the field.
  • Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions with project managers and company leadership.
  • Perform quality control inspections to ensure installations meet company standards and customer expectations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop installers and apprentices.
  • Maintain accurate job documentation, reports, and daily logs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of commercial HVAC installation experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Foreman, Lead Installer, or Field Supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork installation, refrigeration principles, and mechanical construction practices.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Proven leadership and crew management experience.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel weekly and stay overnight as required.
