Summary 

The HR Business Partner will provide strategic HR support to business units or departments, working closely with business leaders to align HR initiatives with business goals. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to management and will play a key role in driving organizational effectiveness. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals and drive organizational effectiveness 
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on HR policies, practices, and procedures 
  • Facilitate performance management processes including goal setting, performance evaluations, and talent development 
  • Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide recommendations for resolution 
  • Drive the recruitment and selection process for assigned business units or departments, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates 
  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to drive continuous improvement 
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations 
  • Collaborate with other HR teams to develop and implement HR initiatives and programs 

Educational background / Work experience 

  • A bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree in HR or a related field is preferred. 
  • A minimum of 5 years of HR experience with at least 2 years in an HR business partner role is required. Experience in the transportation and logistics industry is a plus. 
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, employee relations, and talent development is required. 
  • Experience with HRIS and data analytics is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, practices, and procedures and applicable laws and regulations 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills 
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business leaders, managers, and employees

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making

Preferred Qualifications 

HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred. 

Language skills 

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.  
  • Additional language skills may be preferred depending on the location and business needs. 

Computer Literacy 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Experience with HRIS and data analytics tools is preferred.
