Job description

Overview

Stryten Energy manufactures proprietary and custom injection molding products serving the industrial lead battery, automotive and consumer markets. Stryten Energy is expanding battery poly manufacturing and recycling output to help solve industry-wide supply constraints.

This position will be responsible for the daily support of multiple administrative and operational functions. Primary responsibilities will be back up and support to Human Resources department, with additional administrative duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates must be a self-starter with proven leadership and communication skills and will possess the ability to work with individuals from varied backgrounds, skills, and education levels to complete projects in an efficient and organized manner.

Responsibilities

  • Support Management Staff in accomplishing their business goals by assisting with various reports and duties

  • Collaborate with HQ HR team to execute changes as needed to stay in compliance.

  • Maintain attendance records for all hourly employees. Issue and track attendance warnings as required.

  • Perform entries, updates, and status changes of employee information in HRIS and timekeeping systems.

  • Own the coordination and execution of employee engagement events and special meetings such as volunteer opportunities and celebrating service anniversaries.

  • Attend meetings as assigned; take, prepare, and post minutes

  • Support new employee recruiting and onboarding process: Pre-screen applications, prepare and process new hire paperwork, conduct new hire orientations, and other related tasks as needed

  • Provide general HR information to all employees based on established practices and procedures

  • Provide support and resources to employees throughout the leave of absence process

  • Responsible for monitoring local, state and federal laws and regulations for changes that impact the site.

  • Maintain accurate employee records

  • Interface directly with all levels of Management and employees

  • Act as backup for Human Resources Manager

  • Engage in the development of hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring plant employees for improved performance

  • Support plant activities such as 5S, Gemba and Safety including participating in audits

  • Assist in investigations as required.

  • Additional responsibilities as needed?to support the team and company goals.

Qualifications

Education, Experience, Certifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field of study required.

  • 2-4 Years Human Resources experience as an administrator or general support.

  • 2+ years experience in a Manufacturing Plant environment is a plus.

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge

  • Good written and oral communication skills; must be able to read, write, and speak English

  • Proficient with MS Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word.)

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner

  • Ability to work independently, develop and follow-up on plans, and resolve conflicts effectively

  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks to support business requirements

  • Strong decision making skills

  • Must be able to multi-task, and handle multiple projects simultaneously, easily adapt to changing situations.

  • Able to administer and follow all EHS rules and regulations.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Environment & Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be frequently exposed to fumes, dust, airborne particles, and extreme heat and humidity.

  • While much work will be performed in an office setting, occasional time may be required in the manufacturing facility, where additional exposure is likely.

  • Noise levels in the manufacturing facility are usually high.

  • Qualified candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb with minimal effort.

  • Occasional light lifting may be required

  • Must be available to meet with employees who work on 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts as needed

  • This position requires you to be on site daily.

Travel

  • Travel as required to meet business needs.
